Research and Data Science:

• Built data sources (i.e. innovations/innovative small firms, WalkScore/Transit Score using Walkscore API R package)

• Developed GIS models via ESRI Business Analyst and GTFS for network analysis and location quotient estimations.

• Designed & developed project SOWs and quantitative analysis project.

• Completed six quantitative data-driven research, and working on three others.

 

Management:

• Assist in managing the founding tasks for establishment of a center in coordination with other University departments (e.g. OIT, office of grants and contract services, office of communication, etc.), USDOT, and the external partners.

• Developed research, educational and dissemination initial programs including funding programs, K9-12 educational activities, graduate student mentorship programs, and CTEDD Student Council.

• Developed long- and short-term action plans and performance metrics for the programs.

• Oversaw center’s website development and led center’s online visibility and viability.

• Organized panel sessions, research symposium, and transportation podcast.

Led several community planning/research projects. Met with clients, developed MOUs and SOWs, led cross-functional teams, conducted data-driven market analysis and site assessments using GIS tapestry, business and network analysis. Developed land use/design plans, economic developments, zoning and policy/strategy recommendations. Conducted focus groups, community engagement meetings, multiple public/city council presentations. Wrote report sections and provided graphics and visualizations. Directed online marketing strategies.
